Georgia O’Keeffe was one of the greatest American painters of the 20th century. After formative years in New York, she moved far West of the Hudson River to New Mexico. There she painted the world the way she felt it — bold, intimate, and endlessly curious. Known for her close-up flowers, desert bones and skulls, and sweeping New Mexico landscapes, she transformed simplicity into something powerful and emotional. A peculiar habit of hers was driving out into the desert with her Ford Model A and converting it into a mobile studio. Her art slows you down, pulls you closer, and asks you to see the familiar as something mysterious and new.

Behind the work was a woman of quiet strength: independent, contemplative, and fiercely devoted to her own vision. O’Keeffe followed the rhythm of her inner world, choosing solitude and nature over noise and convention.
This tee celebrates an artist who saw beauty everywhere — and insisted on seeing it her own way.

The three works displayed are:
"Ram's Head, White Hollyhock-Hills", "Flower of Life 2", "Single Calla Lily (Red)".

The quotes displayed are:
"I have things in my head that are not like what anyone has taught me—shapes and ideas near to me—so natural to my way of being and thinking that it hasn’t occurred to me to put them down. I decided to start anew to strip away what I had been taught."

"I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way… things I had no words for."

"Nothing is less real than realism. Details are confusing. It is only by selection, by elimination, by emphasis, that we get at the real meaning of things."
